No face-to-face support appointments are available until further notice.

Telephone and Skype appointments are still available from most services - see below. Please include your mobile number or Skype address in the notes section of the online booking form (download Skype here). You should always keep your contact details up to date in case the University needs to contact you.

Appointments via Advice Zone Online

Appointments with most USW Support Services can be made via Advice Zone Online. Please read the notes below and visit the service's website before booking.


Inside Advice Zone Online choose the category of appointment you want then search for available appointments, or search using a keyword.

Please let us know at the time of booking if you require the appointment through the medium of Welsh or English.  Please note, it may be necessary to arrange for a simultaneous translator to be present.

Careers Service

Disability Service

The Disability Service provides information, advice and guidance to and coordinates support for USW students who have disabilities, including physical, sensory, mental health or unseen disabilities, specific learning difficulties (e.g. dyslexia) and autism.

Health Service

The University Health Service is Nurse-led and is a supplement to the services provided by your GP and the NHS. You will need to register with the Health Service before booking an appointment for the first time. Search for Nurse appointment on Advice Zone Online.

Book an appointment with your Faculty librarian. Choose the category that corresponds to your Faculty eg Librarian - Engineering, Computing & Science.

Progression Advice Team

If you are struggling with your studies, the Progression team can identify the problems and work with you and your faculty to get you back on track.

Student Money Advice Team

Are you experiencing financial difficulties or problems with your student funding?  The Student Money Advice Team can provide information, advice and practical assistance to help you get back on track.

Book a Study Skills appointment to speak to an academic skills or maths tutor on a one-to-one basis.

Cancelling An Appointment

To cancel an appointment, log in to Advice Zone Online, select 'Appointments' and in 'My Booked Appointments' select 'Cancel'.
